The Mindfulness Practice Community of Toronto practises mindful living as taught by Thich Nhat Hanh. We have been practising together since 1997. Our Practice Community or Sangha is open to people who wish to learn and deepen their practice of mindfulness.
We are an interfaith group. While our regular meditation sessions are based on Buddhist practices, members are encouraged to appreciate and deepen the practice of their own tradition.
We meet every Saturday (except for July and August) from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Howard-Emmanuel United Church located at 214 Wright Avenue, on Roncesvalles Avenue, in Toronto. Please check our calendar as the schedule does vary from time to time.
A note about our sessions: because some of our sangha (community) friends are sensitive and/or strongly allergic to scents, we gently request that people attending, refrain from wearing scented products during the Saturday sessions.
Please arrive early to settle in. If you arrive after 9:30 am, please practise in the hall. The door will re-open at the end of the first sitting meditation.
