The Mindfulness Practice Community warmly invites you to join us for another week of practicing together.
“Breathing out, I smile to the sun in me. I am the sun, a star, one of the most beautiful stars in our entire galaxy. I am a child of the sun. I am a star.

Week of November 1, 2026
In-person practice
Weekly in-person practice at Roncesvalles continues Saturdays, from 9:30 to 11:30 am at Roncesvalles United Church (214 Wright Avenue, Toronto, ON M6R1L3).
SPECIAL NOTICE! On Saturday, November 7th, our in-person location will be closed so we will take this opportunity to come together for an extended online practice with friends from our weekly online practices as well as friends from our in-person practice.
Beginning at 9:30 AM, we will hold a special online practice for our entire community. It is both a beautiful opportunity for our online community to practice with our in-person community, while also offering us an opportunity to study the Five Mindfulness Trainings under the guidance of our senior Dharma teacher, sister Tuyen Nguyen.
In every society there are guardrails or norms that are meant to help us to function as integrated members of our communities. Religions, like Buddhism offer additional guardrails intended to guide us away from the endless cycle of individual and collective suffering – endless regrets about the past, fear of the future, anger, self-hatred and hatred of the “other”, greed, craving – and so many other wrong perceptions that prevent us from dwelling peacefully and joyfully, in the present moment.
The Five Mindfulness Trainings are the fruits of deep insights from many people – practitioners and teachers, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, who, from their deep compassion, do not wish to see us suffer.
Studying and practicing the Mindfulness Trainings, we do not let guilt burden our hearts. Instead, we apply the Trainings with an open mind and a curiosity that helps us experience our lives differently. They help us to cultivate a life guided by loving kindness, compassion and understanding.
We hope all of you will consider joining us.

Dana
Giving (dana) is an essential Buddhist practice. It is about generosity, openness, and our capacity to embrace others with compassion and love. MPC is able to maintain our online presence, our in-person location, and all special events because of the generosity of volunteers and the donations or dana from our beloved community. Dana can come in the form of etransfers to mindfulnesspracticecommunity@gmail.com or at all in-person events. If you are unable to contribute financially, your smile, your practice, and your generous and open heart are enough. You are enough.
