This week at MPC

As the hours of sunlight continue to rise, and the dawn chorus of winter birds returns, all of us are invited to feel that wonderful promise of spring.

Our beloved teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh, taught us that the wonders of spring’s return offers a profound, daily opportunity to reconnect with the miracle of life, to renew ourselves and to deepen our practice of mindful living.

Even if you can’t attend the online meeting this Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 4:00 PM, please have a look at the proposed agenda below, and let us know if there is anything that requires our attention and in particular, please weigh in on our Wednesday evening longer practice. We are still trying to meet the needs of our community by making this meeting as accessible to as many sangha members as we can.

SSC Meeting Agenda (Draft) Date: Feb 19, 2026, 4-5:30pm

A deep bow for your practice and for your commitment to the sangha.

Dana

Giving (dana) is an essential Buddhist practice. It is about generosity, openness, and our capacity to embrace others with compassion and love. MPC is able to maintain our online presence, our in-person location, and all special events because of the generosity of volunteers and the donations or dana from our beloved community. Dana can come in the form of etransfers to mindfulnesspracticecommunity@gmail.com or at all in-person events. If you are unable to contribute financially, your smile, your practice, and your generous and open heart are enough. You are enough.
